Christmas wine hampers on this page are not a case of wine with a mince pie on top. Here the wine is added to Christmas hampers that would stand on their own without it. The Christmas Traditional Feast Duo is the Feast with a red and a white added. The Xmas Celebrations Duo is the Traditional Celebration with two bottles. The Christmas Traditional Wine Feast is the Feast with four. In each of these Christmas wine hampers the food is the same full-sized selection as the hamper it comes from, and the wine sits beside it rather than displacing it.
That matters because most Christmas wine hampers on the market are built the other way round: two or three bottles and a handful of snacks to justify the basket. We have built food-first Christmas hampers in Ireland for more than twenty years, and the Christmas wine hampers on this page inherit that. If you want the bottles to be the point, the Traditional Wine Feast and the Christmas Banquet Extravaganza each carry four. If you want a proper Christmas hamper that also has something to open on the night, the Duo Christmas wine hampers are the answer.
The Wines in Our Christmas Wine Hampers | Regionalised, Not Described
The wines in our Christmas wine hampers are listed by regional name and variety on every product page, so a sender can judge them before buying rather than trusting an adjective. The So Shiraz from South Australia is the default red in the Gourmet Xmas Gift, the Christmas Pioneer, the Favourite Flavours Xmas Gift and the Xmas Cheese and Wine Gift. Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand or Chile pairs with it in the Big Savoury Xmas Gift. Chilean Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay make up the pair in the Christmas Earth Gift Basket and the Snowy Christmas Afternoon Duo. The Feast Duo, the Celebrations Duo, the Christmas Raider Duo and the Christmas Reflections Duo carry a New World Cabernet and Sauvignon Blanc chosen as sound table wines for the festive week. The Traditional Wine Feast and the Banquet Extravaganza add an Italian DOC prosecco and a premium Australian Pinot Noir to make four.
Beyond wine, the Port and Cheese Hamper carries a bottle of Sandeman Fine Ruby Port with Carrigaline cheeses and Crossogue chutney. None of the bottles in our Christmas wine hampers is a private label. Each carries its own producer's name, which is the point: the story in the hamper belongs to the maker, and we are the ones who put it beside the right Christmas food. At the Upper end of the Basketsgalore Christmas Hampers Range arrives the Premier Range, Wines from; Bordeaux, Burgundy. Piedmontese Barolos , Sangiovese, Chateauneufs, Brunellos and Reserve Winemakers from the New World.
Wine and Cheese Christmas Hampers
The classic pairing has its own Christmas wine hampers here. The Xmas Cheese and Wine Gift doubles up Ditty's luxury mince pies, adds two 200g waxed cheese truckles from Bandon Vale in County Cork, Lecale Harvest farmhouse pâté, Crossogue chutney and the Jacob's Creek shiraz, and deliberately leaves out the pudding and cake so that the cheese and wine lead. The Gourmet Cheese Xmas Gift takes the same idea to three truckles, with Filligans cucumber relish alongside the chutney so that the three cheeses can be tried six ways. The Big Savoury Xmas Gift is the largest of these wine and cheese Christmas hampers, with three truckles, two wines, biltong, olives and pâté.
The 200g truckle is a considered size for a Christmas wine hamper. A 100g mini looks itty bitty on a board and a 400g wheel overwhelms it; the 200g wax-wrapped truckle is a sharing value portion, and because it is waxed it keeps far longer than a cut cheese when stored properly.
Changing the Wine in a Christmas Wine Hamper to Suit the Recipient
Several of the Christmas wine hampers on this page carry an option on the product page to change the bottle. The Gourmet Xmas Gift can be altered from the shiraz to suit a Zinfandel, Pinot Noir, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot or Grenache drinker. The Xmas Cheese and Wine Gift can have its bottle turned into port, cream liqueur or fizz through the drop-down before you add it to the basket. The Gourmet Cheese Xmas Gift offers the other most requested wine regions, Bordeaux, Tuscany, New Zealand and the Australian states.
Where a product page shows no wine option, the simplicy of the wine description system is the wine that arrives. We would rather state that plainly than let a sender assume every bottle in every Christmas wine hamper can be swapped. Technically anything is possibe, but operationally sometimes that just isnt possible at certain times of the year.
Destinations for Christmas Wine Hampers | Ireland, the EU and Beyond
This is the part of a Christmas wine hampers page that most sites leave out, and it decides more gifts than the wine does. Within Ireland, including Northern Ireland, and to Great Britain, Christmas wine hampers travel on our standard tracked services. Within the European Union they travel by road on an economy service of around four to five days, or by air on an express service, in zones set out on the delivery page: Belgium, France, Germany, Luxembourg and the Netherlands in the first zone, most of the rest of the EU in the second, and Cyprus, Greece and Malta by air only.
Outside the EU the rules for wine change. Switzerland, Norway, San Marino and Monaco can be served by express air, but no alcohol or animal based products such as dairy can be sent to them and parcels may attract customs charges we do not control. Rest-of-world destinations such as Australia, Canada and the United States take no alcohol and no perishables, and are handled as corporate quotations rather than website orders. So a sister in Zurich or a colleague in Oslo cannot receive one of our Christmas wine hampers, and the right choice for them is the same Christmas hamper in its alcohol-free form. We would rather tell you that before you order than after.
The Alcohol Free Twin of Almost Every Christmas Wine Hamper
Because the wine is added to a food hamper rather than built into it, almost every one of our Christmas wine hampers has a food-only twin. The Feast Duo has the Christmas Traditional Feast. The Celebrations Duo has the Traditional Celebration. The Festive Celebration Duo has the Festive Celebration. The Reflections Duo has the Christmas Reflections Gift. If a recipient does not drink, or lives where we cannot send wine, the twin is the same Christmas gift at the same standard with the bottles removed and nothing else changed.
That is a different thing from taking a Christmas wine hamper and swapping the bottles for grape juice. The food was never designed around the wine, so it does not miss it.
Christmas Wine Hampers for Colleagues and Clients in Ireland
Wine hampers are the most common corporate Christmas gift in Ireland, and two of the Christmas wine hampers on this page were built with that buyer in mind. The Christmas Banquet Extravaganza carries four wines, including the Italian DOC prosecco and a premium shiraz or pinot noir, beside a full traditional Christmas hamper in an 18 inch lidded wicker hamper, and its product page says plainly that it exists for corporate clients who want to go the extra mile. The Christmas Earth Gift Basket was created at the other end of the scale: a two-bottle Christmas wine hamper at an accessible price with the traditional fayre kept in, so that a company sending twenty Christmas hampers across Ireland can do so without the wine becoming the whole budget.
Between those two sit the Xmas Celebrations Duo and the Christmas Reflections Duo, both presentation-case Christmas wine hampers that suit an office in Cork or a client in Galway equally well. Several Christmas wine hampers to one Irish address attract a half-price delivery discount on the second and subsequent items, and for larger orders across Ireland, Great Britain and the EU our corporate team quotes delivery as part of the order and can invoice for bank transfer. The one rule that does not bend for a corporate order are the National Restrictions of individual member states within the EU's destination rules because these are imposed by couriers at the national port of entry. Yes Goods move freely, but national assemblies can impose restrictions on what moves freely.
Christmas Wine Hampers Hand Packed in Ireland for Christmas 2026
Every one of our Christmas wine hampers is packed by our hands on an Irish assembly line, by the team that takes the order and prints the gift card. Bottles are packed to travel, the hamper is checked before it is sealed, and the outer packaging carries our contact details so that a recipient who was not expecting a Christmas delivery knows it is genuine. We do not contract our packing out, at Christmas or at any other time of year, which is the practical reason we can tell you exactly what is in each Christmas hamper and what it weighs.
Dispatch of Christmas wine hampers is ours. The final mile belongs to our courier partners, tracked and signed for, with email updates at dispatch and delivery. In December we run a weekly delivery schedule across Ireland with our little van, and the Christmas delivery date you choose is the latest day that week the hamper will arrive.
Choosing Well Among the Christmas Wine Hampers
Decide the destination first, because that decides whether wine is possible at all. Then decide whether the wine is the point or the accompaniment. If the point, the Traditional Wine Feast and the Banquet Extravaganza carry four bottles including prosecco. If the accompaniment, the Duo versions of the Feast, the Traditional Celebration and the Festive Celebration carry a red and a white beside a full Christmas hamper. For cheese-led Christmas wine hampers, the Xmas Cheese and Wine, the Gourmet Cheese and the Big Savoury are the three, in ascending size. For a quiet evening rather than a festive table, the Port and Cheese Hamper is the smallest and most focused wine gift on the page.
Stock permitting, every one of these Christmas wine hampers is available in Ireland from September for delivery through December, and each product page lists the wine by name so that the decision is yours rather than ours.
My sister lives in Zurich. Can I send her a Christmas wine hamper?
No, and we would rather say so now. Switzerland is served by our express air service, but no alcohol can be sent there, and parcels may attract Swiss customs charges we do not control. The same applies to Norway. The right choice is the alcohol-free twin of the hamper you had in mind, which is the same food at the same standard without the bottles. Within the EU, wine hampers travel normally by road or air.
Can I change the shiraz to a white, or to port?
On some gifts, yes, through the drop-down on the product page. The Gourmet Xmas Gift offers Zinfandel, Pinot Noir, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot or Grenache in place of the shiraz. The Xmas Cheese and Wine Gift can be changed to port, cream liqueur or fizz. The Gourmet Cheese Xmas Gift offers Bordeaux, Tuscany, New Zealand and Australian alternatives. Where a product page shows no option, the wine listed is the wine that arrives.
Is the wine actually decent, or is it supermarket plonk with a hamper wrapped around it?
Yes the wine is decent to excellent. Obviously at the lower price points what you are buying is a regional blend, but we select from the parts of the world that we know are blessed with an over abundance of quaffable wine varieties. The stand out value for money blend in 2026 are Australian Shiraz' and New Zealand Sauvignon Blancs, but it changes from year to year and over the years. Ten years ago Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon were the favourites as other varieties were premium priced. We buy what represents great value for money and we certainly dont buy specifically for a price point. We understand and enjoy wine ourselves, which is demonstrated by our wine selections at the higher brackets where you can find the big quality hitters.
I want to send two wine hampers to the same office. What happens to the delivery cost?
Two or more hampers to a single address qualify for a half-price delivery discount on the second and subsequent items, using the coupon codes listed on the delivery page at checkout. The hampers travel together on the same tracked service. For larger numbers to one address, or for many addresses across Ireland, Britain and Europe, our corporate team quotes the delivery as part of the order, and bank transfer with an invoice is available.
The recipient does not drink. Which of these hampers has a version without wine?
Almost all of them. The Feast Duo has the Christmas Traditional Feast. The Xmas Celebrations Duo has the Traditional Celebration. The Festive Celebration Duo has the Festive Celebration. The Reflections Duo has the Christmas Reflections Gift. Each twin is the identical food selection without the bottles, not a rebalanced smaller hamper. The Alcohol Free Baskets collection lists them together with hampers that were never designed with wine in the first place.
Will the bottles survive the courier?
Wine is packed to travel, inside the hamper and inside outer packaging, and every order is checked before it leaves our warehouses. The hamper goes on a tracked, signed-for service, so it is not left on a doorstep, and you receive dispatch and delivery updates by email. If a bottle does arrive damaged, let us know and we replace the whole hamper, because the order and the packing were ours. It happens so rarely nowadays, its barely an issue because we wanted to eliminate any disappointment that the recipient might have at every stage of what we designed.
Does a wine hamper take longer to deliver at Christmas?
No longer than any other hamper. In December we run a weekly delivery schedule rather than a named day. The Christmas delivery date you choose at checkout is the latest day that week the hamper will be delivered, and it may come a day or two earlier. Dispatch at peak can occasionally take up to seventy-two hours from order because of sheer volume demand, so the earlier the order, the better we can organise our schedule to provide what you need from us.
